Room: live capture you can Just Ask later
August turned live sessions into Room — captions, notes, files, and a library you can actually find later. Just Ask got sharper sources and retrieval, your items show what they connect to, and email saves keep their styled layout.
New
- Room — A full-page live session with captions, notes, and files. After you save, Just Ask the hour with sources — what was decided, what was on the board, what you marked important. Named rooms show up with your other captures instead of hiding under Voice.
- Just Ask can see your captures — When you ask about a receipt, whiteboard, screenshot, or other photo in your library, Just Ask can use the image itself — not only the text we extracted.
- Student access — Verify a .edu email for student status. Everyone else on Starter gets three Room sessions to try, then a clear upgrade prompt.
Improved
- Smarter Just Ask — Source chips only appear when Just Ask actually used a capture. It finds proper names and emails more reliably, pulls in linked neighbors, coaches you when nothing is saved yet, and formats schedules more clearly.
- Connected in your library — Open an item to see related captures — linked items, same-session saves, and similar topics — and link items yourself when you know they belong together.
- Email previews that match Gmail — Saving from the Gmail add-on (or Outlook in the extension) now keeps the styled HTML body — layout, buttons, and images — instead of plain text with raw tracking links.
Fixed
- Tab recordings that wouldn’t play — Chrome and desktop no longer upload tiny, unplayable WebMs from a failed tab capture.
