CapturedIt · July 2026
A library that feels like yours — including on Safari and Mac
July locked the apps together: biometric sign-in on phones, private capture in Chrome, Safari that connects on the first try, and a smoother Mac first launch.
New
- Face ID / fingerprint lock — iPhone and Android can require biometrics to open CapturedIt, with the same account you use on the web.
- Private capture in Chrome — Mark a save as private at capture time, without a trip through settings first.
Improved
- Safari Connect — The Mac App Store build asks for permissions in the popup and stores the key so Connect works the first time.
- Mac 0.2.1 — Onboarding appears on first launch, and the “connected” page looks like CapturedIt. One-click connect is the default path.
- Playback on phones — Images and audio load on first open instead of sitting on a blank preview.
Fixed
- iOS processing that never clears — Pull to refresh, polling, and Live Activities now agree when AI is actually done.
- MCP and SDK parity — Ask and capture behave the same from Claude, Node, and Python as they do in the apps.
