A Mac app that stays open, and voice you can trust
June made the desktop app launch on macOS, turned voice into something you can replay, and pulled text out of scanned PDFs.
New
- Play audio in the library — Voice notes play inline in lists and search instead of forcing a download.
- Just Ask from a link — iPhone and Android can open a Just Ask question from a link, the same way the web uses ?q=.
Improved
- Voice capture that recovers — If a recording hiccups, CapturedIt keeps the segments, warns you about silence, and can still retrieve the note.
- Scanned PDFs — Every page can be OCRed, and older items can be sent through AI Assist again if the first pass was blank.
- Chrome tab recording — v1.0.1 holds up better on video-heavy pages so the capture isn’t an empty file.
Fixed
- Mac launch crashes — CapturedIt opens on current macOS, shows up in the menu bar, and you can quit or uninstall it without a stuck process.
- Previews match on phone and web — Videos aren’t mislabeled as images, and iOS library sync doesn’t sit forever on an empty backfill.
