Android, Slack, and a Mac app that can actually record
April was the month CapturedIt showed up on more devices — and started taking email, Slack, and richer files in one library.
New
- Android app — A full native app with Just Ask, library thumbnails, and the same captures you already save on the web.
- Slack — Save from Slack with /capturedit, shortcuts, and App Home — each Slack user links their own CapturedIt account.
- Email and extra file types — Forward a message to save it, drop in .eml files, and capture HTML, JSON, CSV, spreadsheets, and video that we transcribe.
Improved
- Mac screen, mic, and region capture — Record what you see, hide the window while you do it, and pick a region instead of the whole display.
- Chrome tab recording — The extension popup can record the tab you’re on, not just save a link.
- Just Ask on iPhone and Android — Answers look like the web (markdown, refresh), and weekly digest plus related items stay in sync.
Fixed
- PDFs in the library — Grid and list thumbnails show up on iOS, and scanned pages get another look when the first pass misses the text.
