Use case

Developer knowledge base with Cursor MCP integration

Developers constantly reference documentation, Stack Overflow threads, GitHub issues, and code snippets. CapturedIt captures all of it — then makes it queryable from your editor via MCP (Model Context Protocol). Ask your library: "how did I solve this error before?"

The Problem

You solved a tricky bug six months ago. You know you bookmarked the Stack Overflow answer, but you cannot find it. Or you spend time re-solving problems you already solved.

The Solution

Capture everything with the browser extension. Query via semantic search or ask your AI assistant (Cursor, Claude) to search your library with natural language.

How it works

1

Save solutions as you find them

Use the Chrome extension to save Stack Overflow answers, docs pages, and GitHub issues with one click.

2

Capture code screenshots

Use the desktop app to grab error messages, terminal output, or UI bugs for reference.

3

Query from your editor

Connect Vault via MCP to Cursor or Claude. Ask: "search my library for how I handled CORS in Next.js".

Key features

MCP integration

Connect your library to Cursor, Claude Desktop, and Claude.ai via Model Context Protocol.

Screenshot search

Even screenshots of errors are searchable with AI processing.

API access

Build custom integrations with the Context Hub REST API (Vault).

Webhooks

Trigger actions when items are added via webhooks (Vault).

Sample queries

Questions you can ask your library with AI (Pro+) or via ChatGPT/Claude (Vault):

Search my library for React performance optimization
How did I fix the Prisma connection error?
Show me all Docker compose files I saved

MCP integration means my editor knows my entire knowledge base. Game changer.

FAQ

How does MCP work with Cursor?
Vault users can add our MCP server (https://api.capturedit.app/api/mcp) to Cursor settings. Then use natural language to query your library from inline chat or composer.
Can I save code directly?
Yes. Save code blocks from documentation, or save entire files. AI processing extracts text for search.
Is there syntax highlighting?
Not currently in the reading view. AI extracts and indexes the code text so it is searchable.
